Restaurant "Zum Pferdestall"
Once at Gut Basthorst, you can eat in the former horse barn ("Pferdestall"). The food is „cuisine regionale“: Black pepper steak with a cream of mushroom gravy, the traditional German dish "Strammer Max", schnitzel, or roast goose in winter. You can have a hearty snack or full dinner after a hike, after work or after a bicycle tour in the Schleswig-Holstein countryside.

Our team runs a welcoming and professional restaurant with a warm ambience for all sorts of events. Our menu is regularly updated, offering regional and seasonal dishes and always open to try out something new. Our food is fresh and carefully selected. What is more, we have a wide range of exquisite wines. Our guests feel at home at "Zum Pferdestall" and most know each other well.

Rose Garden
In summer time, you may drink and eat in the popular rose garde next to the restaurant. Sitting in the sun in front of the beautiful scenery of the St. Marien Church and the small duck pond is very relaxing for all of our guests.
