Known for its spring, fall and Christmas markets, Gut Basthorst has become a centre of attraction for ten thousands of visitors every year. The German magazine “Stern” listed the Gut Basthorst Christmas market as one of the seven most beautiful Christmas markets next to those in Vienna, Meran, Aachen, Münster, Leipzig and Hamburg. It should be stressed that the Gut Basthorst Christmas market is the only one on the list that is not publicy sponsored.
